The power of client interaction

Yesterday we held our inaugural user group for SessionCam; and what a day it was.

The delegates (a mix of existing clients and people we hope will become clients) gathered in the comfortable surroundings of Bonhill House to hear about the new product features we have introduced over the last few months and those planned for next year.

Proceedings kicked off with an overview of how the customer experience market is becoming a headline board agenda item. With over £14bn ‘lost’ from online transactions in the UK last year that’s hardly surprising.

We followed that with a good debate about how companies use SessionCam. For many of our clients re-marketing is a key issue (improving conversion rates by re-addressing prospects who fall out of the online purchasing process). One of our clients declared that our re-marketing tool was now their largest source of online sales and delivered the lowest Cost per Acquisition. That made us feel good!

We then had a couple of masterclasses on Custom Variables and Heatmaps. Custom Variables provide the ability to import additional data into SessionCam and we heard how RAC had used this capability to gain a much deeper understanding of how different aspects of their website influence online purchasing behaviour. SessionCam’s new heatmaps proved a popular addition and delegates were intrigued to learn how comparing different heatmaps can provide even deeper insights.

The day ended with a good discussion about future features – new product developments that will make SessionCam more effective and improve the return on investment it generates.

We think most people left happy (we’ll be following up with a survey!) and we aim to repeat the process in the New Year. So if you’d like to be involved next time please get in touch.
