SessionCam includes reports focused on conversion analysis and these can be used to drive greater insight and understanding of user interaction and behaviour on high-value and/or high-volume online processes associated with task completion, conversion or abandonment.
Define conversion funnels
Define "funnels" to represent processes that are used on your web site.
A funnel is one or more web pages that make up an online process.
Funnels group pages together to allow more detailed reporting and analysis of the recordings so that you can improve your conversion levels.
SessionCam supports different types of funnel including:
- Normal funnels - these are pages organised in a linear fashion.
- Funnels with optional pages - these are normal funnels that have optional pages within their linear process.
- Funnels with page groups - these are normal funnels that have multiple pages for the same step.
Report conversion activity
Once defined, a funnel can be analysed by aggregating and segmenting the data collected by SessionCam. Conversion activity reporting is available at two different levels: page-level and within page (field-level).
See page-level drop-off
SessionCam provides page level conversion reporting for each of your defined funnels. A summary report will show overall visitor numbers and page drop-off for each page within the defined process.
(example page-level conversion funnel report)
For each page, a list of sessions for customers that have dropped-off at that point is available. These sessions can be viewed to help understand the reasons behind page-level drop-off.
See field-level drop-off
Each individual page within a funnel can be inspected in more detail to further understand the reasons why users are dropping off.
(example field-level conversion report)
For each page, SessionCam will report the total number of visitors to the page, those that started entering data and those that moved onto the next page in the funnel. SessionCam will also show details of field-level interaction and drop-off.
The field-level conversion report can be used to show the fields that suffer from the highest drop-off rate, take the longest time to be completed or need to be re-entered the most. Understanding this can lead to the identification and elimination of the issues that are causing drop-off and directly improve overall conversion levels.
Recorded sessions where users have dropped-off are available for each field so that you can replay these visits to understand in more detail what customers did up to the point at which they dropped-off.
Real-time conversion reporting
SessionCam's conversion reporting is available in real-time. At any point in the day, you can access the conversion reports to see the latest session recordings and to report current and historical conversion levels.
Monitor actual customer experience
The customer activity within any page or funnel within your site can be monitored. Alerts can be automatically generated when actual activity varies significantly from typical site levels.
