SessionCam lets you see exactly what your customers do on your web site by allowing you to record and then replay user activity.
Real-time recording, immediate replay
All of the recordings taken by SessionCam are made in real-time and are immediately available for viewing. This means you can watch the most recent customer visits to your web site as soon as they happen with no delay for reporting.
Record dynamic, Ajax elements
SessionCam will accurately record and playback dynamic elements of a website. Web visitors can be recorded interacting with dynamic content such as text and image replacement, tooltips, navigational drop-downs, carousels, lightboxes, animated effects, drag and drop and multiple DOM changes on the same page.
Record all or some of your traffic
You can use SessionCam to record your site activity by simply including our JavaScript tags in the web pages you want to record. You can choose to include the tags on all pages on your web site or just a few individual pages.
You can also decide to record all of your web site visitors or specify a smaller volume of your traffic.
Record an exact version
SessionCam will capture and store exactly what was seen by your customer at the time they used your web site including the style sheets and images used. Any subsequent changes to the design of your site will not impact the recording that has been taken.
Cross domain and https recording
You can use SessionCam to record activity from one or more domain names.
In other words, SessionCam will record a user that crosses multiple domains as part of a complete visit to your web site.
SessionCam will also record both http: and https: traffic from a single session.
Secure recording
Session data will be recorded securely from each page that includes our JavaScript tag using 256-bit SSL encryption.
As a general policy, we do not capture and store financial information such as credit/debit card details or bank account numbers.
Any other data input field within a data entry process can also be masked so that it is not recorded by SessionCam.
Access session recordings
Logon to our web based reporting console to see the customer sessions that have been recorded by SessionCam and analyse
activity and
conversion.
Replay and see exactly what your customer did on your web site
Any recorded session can be replayed to show you exactly what your customer did on your web site.
Session replay will show all mouse movements, mouse clicks, interaction with links, page scrolling, data input on forms, dynamic validation errors generated and movement between web pages.
Session recordings can be replayed in real-time (the actual speed the customer used when visiting your site) or fast forwarded. You can also jump between web pages to quickly move to points of interest in the session recording.
Inspecting session recordings will allow you to:
- identify web site usability issues
- spot form conversion issues
- quickly re-create real customer problems and reduce customer assistance and technical support time
- understand normal and abnormal customer behaviour.
Recording history
Session recordings are typically stored for 3 months but can be retained indefinitely if required.
